Expression of Interest – 2027 Women’s World Volleyball Championships

Volleyball Canada and USA Volleyball intend to submit a joint bid for the 2027 Women’s World Championships. Volleyball Canada is seeking potential Canadian host cities interested in the event to be held Aug 31 – Sept 12, 2027.  

Respondents should have a competition venue that meets the following requirements, potentially available for the competition on Aug 27-Sept 9:

  • minimum seating for 5000 spectators for Pool Phase (Aug 27-Sept 1) and a minimum of 12000 for playoffs Sept 3-6 and 8-9;
  • clearance of 12.5m above the playing area;

Respondent should have potential providers of hotel accommodation and meals for about 200 people (120 rooms) for the event.

Responding to this Expression of Interest does not bind the respondent to any commitment for the event, however it is intended that any subsequent dialogue relating to the event will only be provided to parties that have responded to this Expression of Interest.

Deadline for response to this Expression of Interest is Aug 29, 2025.
Details of the requirements for hosting the event will subsequently be discussed with Respondents.
