2026 PRESTIGE Awards Nominations are Now Open

Nominate exceptional sport tourism initiatives, games & events!

Sport Tourism Canada (STC) is now accepting nominations for the PRESTIGE Awards. The 2026 edition of the PRESTIGE Awards will be recognizing the outstanding people, corporations and events hosted in 2025. The awards dinner gala will take place on March 11th at SEC26 in Mississauga, at the Hilton Meadowvale in Mississauga.

STC’s PRESTIGE Awards celebrates the people, places and events that make the Canadian sport tourism industry so dynamic. These awards are presented annually in 10 categories to honour individuals, companies and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the success of the sport tourism industry.

The 2026 PRESTIGE Guidelines

• PRESTIGE Award nominations are open to members of Sport Tourism Canada.
• Award nominations are for events that occurred during the 2025 calendar year.
• Self-nominations are permitted and encouraged.
• Nominations must be submitted online.
• Point form is encouraged.
• Please note, once you have submitted the nomination form, you will not be able to make any changes or edits to your submission.
• Deadline to submit your nomination is January 12 (no extensions past this deadline).
• Finalists will be notified by January 20.

IMPORTANT –  Please ensure you have ALL the required information BEFORE you begin to complete the nomination form as there is no option to save the form and return to it later. All of the information that is required for submitting a nomination can be found in the guidelines section for each award. If you submit an incomplete form, you will not be able to go back and add or change any of the information on the online form. To assist in your preparation, the point totals used in the adjudication have been indicated in the relevant sections.

• STC Sport Event Partnership of the Year  
• STC Sport Tourism Industry Champion
• STC Canadian Sport Event of the Year
  • Group A: Event Budget of $1 million to $10 million
  • Group B: Event Budget Less Than $1 million  
• STC International Sport Event of the Year
  • Group A: Event Budget of $2 to $10 million
  • Group B: Event Budget Less Than $2 million  
• STC Sport Event Legacy of the Year
• STC Sport Tourism Rising Star of the Year
• STC Sport Tourism Volunteer of the Year
