This year marks a milestone for racquetball — 75 years of one of the world’s fastest and most dynamic sports. Played in over 95 countries, racquetball continues to thrive, and that passion was on full display at the 2025 Racquetball Canada National Championships in Burlington, Ontario.
Held from May 18–24 at Cedar Springs Health Racquet and Sports Club, the event united athletes across all levels, from rising junior stars to long-standing national champions. Highlights included:
- The inspiring return of Canadian legend Mike Green, who came out of retirement following a 6-year absence — and a stroke — to compete on home turf
• A thrilling showdown between Team Canada stars Samuel Murray and Coby Iwaasa, with Iwaasa clinching his first national title since 2015
• Frederique Lambert earning her 7th national singles title and 14th overall — a testament to her enduring excellence on the court
With support from Sport Canada, the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, and local partners, racquetball continues to grow nationwide. As Racquetball Canada explores the opportunity to host the 2026 World Championships, last held here in 2014, the future looks bright.
From grassroots leagues to international podiums, racquetball in Canada exemplifies community, resilience, and high-performance sport at its best.
