Association canadienne de hockey-balle - Kingston, ON<\/strong>, Jeudi 23 f\u00e9vrier 2017<\/strong> - L'International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) a attribu\u00e9 les Championnats du monde juniors 2018 de l'ISBHF au Canada. La s\u00e9lection a \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9e lors du congr\u00e8s annuel de l'ISBHF \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al (17 f\u00e9vrier 2017) par un vote des nations membres de l'ISBHF.<\/p>\n

\"Nous sommes ravis d'avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 choisis pour accueillir les Championnats du monde juniors en 2018 \", a comment\u00e9 Steve Power, pr\u00e9sident de la CBHA. \"John's, \u00e0 Terre-Neuve, et nous consid\u00e9rons ces championnats comme un programme important pour la croissance du hockey-balle au Canada.\"<\/p>\n

Les championnats du monde juniors 2016 se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9s \u00e0 Sheffield, au Royaume-Uni, et ont r\u00e9uni 18 \u00e9quipes nationales. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement a lieu tous les deux ans et attire les meilleures \u00e9quipes masculines U20 et U18 du monde entier. Les dates pr\u00e9cises de l'organisation des championnats de 2018 seront confirm\u00e9es lors de l'appel d'offres lanc\u00e9 par la CBHA en mars.<\/p>\n

\"Le Canada est l'un des membres fondateurs de l'ISBHF et nous sommes ravis de ramener les Championnats du monde juniors en Am\u00e9rique du Nord en 2018\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident de l'ISBHF, George Gortsos. \"Nous pensons que le Canada sera un h\u00f4te exceptionnel et nous sommes convaincus que la CBHA d\u00e9terminera un partenaire d'accueil qui offrira un \u00e9v\u00e9nement exceptionnel.<\/p>\n

L'Association canadienne de hockey-balle (ACBH) entame maintenant le processus d'\u00e9laboration de l'appel d'offres officiel pour l'accueil des Championnats, dans le but de publier le dossier lors du Congr\u00e8s annuel sur les \u00e9v\u00e9nements sportifs de l'Alliance canadienne du tourisme sportif. Le SEC est pr\u00e9vu du 19 au 22 mars \u00e0 Ottawa. \u00c0 ce moment-l\u00e0, la CBHA a l'intention de publier tous les d\u00e9tails sur l'impact \u00e9conomique des Championnats en utilisant le Mod\u00e8le d'\u00e9valuation \u00e9conomique du tourisme sportif (MEETS) de l'ACTS. Les donn\u00e9es des Championnats de 2016 \u00e0 Sheffield, en Angleterre, seront utilis\u00e9es pour d\u00e9terminer la valeur. L'annonce finale du lieu d'accueil canadien sera faite d'ici la fin du mois de mai 2017.<\/p>\n

L'ISBHF pr\u00e9voit la participation de 8 \u00e0 10 \u00e9quipes dans chacune des divisions U20 et U18 lors des Championnats du monde juniors qui se d\u00e9rouleront au Canada en 2018. Cela repr\u00e9sente plus de 650 joueurs, entra\u00eeneurs, personnel d'encadrement et arbitres et, avec le nombre de parents et d'amis pr\u00e9sents, on estime que l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement attirera entre 1 000 et 1 200 personnes pendant les 4 ou 5 jours que durera le championnat. Les exigences en mati\u00e8re de lieu comprennent une ar\u00e8ne int\u00e9rieure \u00e0 deux patinoires, avec une patinoire principale d'une capacit\u00e9 minimale de 2 500 places. Les retransmissions des championnats 2016 ont attir\u00e9 plus d'un quart de million de personnes.<\/p>\n

\"La publication du dossier de candidature pendant le Congr\u00e8s annuel de l'ACTS sur les \u00e9v\u00e9nements sportifs constitue une orientation strat\u00e9gique \", a expliqu\u00e9 Laurence Bishop, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'ACHB. \"C'est un moyen direct pour l'ACHB d'entrer en contact avec les professionnels du tourisme des destinations sportives de tout le Canada et de fournir des d\u00e9tails sp\u00e9cifiques sur toutes nos possibilit\u00e9s d'accueil et nos exigences. Avec nos trois grands championnats nationaux annuels, 2018 devrait \u00eatre une ann\u00e9e exceptionnelle pour le hockey-balle au Canada.\"<\/p>\n

\n\tL'Association canadienne de hockey-balle (ACBH) est une organisation enregistr\u00e9e \u00e0 but non lucratif. Elle est officiellement reconnue comme l'organe directeur du sport du hockey-balle au Canada par le Conseil de l'Europe. F\u00e9d\u00e9ration internationale de hockey sur gazon et sur balle (ISBHF)<\/strong> et Hockey Canada<\/strong>. Neuf provinces sont membres de l'Association : la Colombie-Britannique, l'Alberta, la Saskatchewan, le Manitoba, l'Ontario, le Qu\u00e9bec, le Nouveau-Brunswick, la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse et Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador.
